General Terms and Conditions
All reservations made on the accommodations offered by Huespedia will be exclusively made through the website www.huespedia.com.
Reservations can be made only by people over 18 years old.
Each accommodation has terms and conditions related to minimum stay, arrival and departure times, delivery of keys, method of payment for the rental and guarantee, etc., set by is owner and which are described in section Particular Terms and Conditions within the detailed information of each accommodation. When making a reservation, all published information is accepted and we take for granted that you like both the accommodation and the location.
Once the payment of the reservation has been received, we will send you a confirmation e-mail containing the exact address of the accommodation site, the information necessary to contact the property owner and the corresponding invoice.
Huespedia accepts the reservation payment by credit/debit card, PayPal and bank transfer.
When a reservation is paid by credit/debit card or PayPal, you will receive an instant confirmation in your e-mail address.
When the reservation is paid by bank transfer, it will be confirmed once Huespedia has received the transaction receipt. This process generally takes 3 days approximately, and during this period the accommodation will remain available in the website.
If, exceptionally, during this 3 day period another reservation for the same accommodation is made for the same dates, Huespedia will confirm the reservation to the holder of the first payment receipt received, and will refund the amount received for the reservation that was not completed.
If the customer cancels a reservation, including compassionate reasons or unexpected circumstances beyond his/her control, the customer must inform in writing by e-mail or fax as soon as possible. In all cases, the amount paid as a reservation fee will not be refunded.
If any amount for the rental has been paid in advance by the customer, the owner will return such amount. This refund may be subject to special terms and conditions; please check the section Remarks in the detail of the accommodation.
If, for any reason or unexpected circumstance beyond his/her control, the customer needs to interrupt the stay , he/she must contact the property owner as soon as possible in order to proceed with the check-out process and guarantee refund, accordingly. The rental amount corresponding to the days not used may not be refund, depending exclusively on the property owner’s decision.
In the unlikely event that the property owner could not give the accommodation booked by the customer, Huespedia may accommodate him/her in another property of similar characteristics. If an agreement cannot be reached, both Huespedia and the property owner will refund the total amount the customer has paid: reservation and rental advance payment, accordingly.
In the event that property owner cancels a reservation during the customer stay, Huespedia may accommodate him/her in another property of similar characteristics. If an agreement cannot be reached, both Huespedia and the property owner will refund the client the part proportional to the days not used and the guarantee, accordingly.
Huespedia shall not be responsible for the inconvenience caused by the reservations cancellations or stay cancellations made by the property owner.
If the customer changes the reservation dates, this will be considered as a new reservation and the terms and conditions for cancellation shall be applied.
If the customer wants to extend the days of the stay in the accommodation, its availability will be checked and the procedure for a new reservation shall be followed.
If the customer wants to reduce the days of stay in the property, he/she must inform Huespedia at least one week in advance. Huespedia will send the customer an update with the dates reduction and the accommodation prices, but the amount paid as reservation fee will not be refunded.
The customer may change the number of occupants specified when the reservation was made, as long as the maximum capacity of the accommodation is not exceeded.
An amount paid as guarantee on advance payment is required; this amount varies according to the type of accommodation. This guarantee is used to ensure the proper use of the facilities, equipment maintenance and check-out conditions.
This amount must be paid and then refunded according to the conditions stipulated by the property owner in Particular Terms and Conditions of the accommodation.
In the event that a customer causes damages to the property and those damages exceed the amount of the guarantee, the customer will be responsible for paying such difference.
The properties offered in the website are not used as a permanent residence but are only rented for temporary use, for stays of 3 months maximum, for purposes of vacation, business travel, study, scholarships, etc.
It is absolutely forbidden to carry out activities that are disturbing, unhealthy, harmful, dangerous or illicit. Silence must be respected throughout the stay, especially during night hours, by following at all times the rules stipulated by the neighbors community, regarding the use of both the accommodation and the general facilities.
A number of persons exceeding the quantity specified in the property reservation are not allowed in the accommodation.
Whether pets are allowed or not is specified in the Particular Terms and Conditions of each accommodation.
Rental periods over 3 months are not allowed; full or partial sub-renting is not allowed either. Should the keys get lost, the customer is responsible for changing the lock and paying its related expenses.
The customer will be directly and exclusively responsible for:
- Damages that might be caused to people or things and that are derived from the services and supplies facilities of the rented accommodation.
- Damage, wear, theft or loss occurred in the accommodation, either caused by the customer, by people staying in the accommodation with the customer during his/her stay o by third parties.
Non-fulfillment of the terms and conditions of use may be grounds for eviction by the property owner.
Most accommodations include in their price basic services such as water, electricity, gas or alternative power sources. You may check this in the Particular Terms and Conditions of each accommodation.
Most accommodations include in their price the cleaning at the time of check-out. You may check this in the Particular Terms and Conditions of each accommodation.
The accommodation is cleaned before the customer arrival and must therefore be returned in the same condition on the departure day. The property owner has the right to charge for an extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in good conditions.
The property owner has the right to request the signing of a contract when the payment of the rental amount takes place.
Should the General Terms and Conditions not be fulfilled, the property owner has the right to evict the customers without notice, keeping the full guarantee amount as a penalty fee and leaving the customer with no right to indemnification.
Huespedia is not responsible for problems that may arise between property owners and customers, or for the non-fulfillment of the responsibilities of either party.
